I see they're talking about all those "principles" again. I can guarantee you that when you visit and you ask for them to back it up they'll pull some BS like telling you, "Ok, I have a knife in my pocket," or telling you that on the streets they'll have friends there to help them beat you up. You know, a way to beat you without having any actual skill.
Good luck in whatever you try though.
EDIT: I hate it how "traditional MA" instructors think they're being clever when they come up with BS like that. It's not like you need CKD training to know enough to carry a knife or kick someone in the balls.Last edited by HearWa; 1/31/2007 10:00pm at .

Ahhhh, I see now...Choi Kwang Do is not designed for competition and does not follow the intensity of sports training. The system is meant for all individuals who want to learn real-life, practical self-defense skills and achieve a greater level of health and well-being, not people solely interested in winning trophies. Because it’s a non-contact, non-fighting, non-competitive art that stresses mental, physical, emotional and social development, Choi Kwang Do promotes non-violent resolutions to conflict, practical solutions to cardiovascular improvement, and enjoyable methods of exercise. -

Choi Kwang Do: Because Tae Kwon Do is Just Too Brutal
Nice find. They have a school in Dorking, I see. I visited the site:
Sports training has little to do with health

13. If accidental contact is made during training, students should stop and bow to one another as an apology, and for the other to show acceptance.
18. Always remember that what you are learning is a potentially deadly martial art.

Best is the Close Range Defense Training
