Regardless of whether or not his Judo grade checks out, was he ever in the military? Or had specialist police training? Or anything else that can justify someone from the UK (where guns are illegal children) putting pistol disarms into a system he invented and take him seriously?

Hmmm... For a Godan he has some poor techniques. That Ippon Seionage was pretty dreadful, and his Ogoshi is a very Juijitsu-esque.

Godan is pretty tough to get, you generally have to be teaching for a while and put out some good students.

I can't say much since he isn't in the BJA. But british judo has a pretty good reputation about who they promote in Dan levels.

From a Judo standpoint his techniques didn't look that great. (not to mention all done right handed very basic, still looked sloppy).

Hard to say from just a kata type video, I've seen lots of JJ schools look like crap during demos or kata and turning out to be semi decent.

However to compare here is just what a quick search on youtube pulled up for Ippon:

This one is done by a JJ practioner and is a hundred times better and more effecient (notice the use of Uke's momentum, as opposed to stopping all momentum with a block and then slowly throwing him)

Still poor form for a supposed Godan in my opinion, too much muscling on the Ippon (one of the most basic techniques) even if it is done Kata wise. (in the Kata for Dan level essentially you use the same set up with a guy punching at you, only difference is it looks a hundred times better than his, also notice complete lack of kazushi).

But hey, the guy is old. Plenty of older guys have bad technique due to not being able to get as low.

Hard to say as this is kata/demonstration type of stuff, but all the other stuff (too deadly to spar or enter any comps, knife/pistol disarms, etc) all reek of Bullshido.

However keep in mind that a lot of that stuff is in most JJ schools curriculum (as far as crappy weapon disarms and the like)

I was only able to watch the top video - it looked like a scary mix of ke?po's multi-target striking followed by a fairly standard aikido LARPing armbar to a throw...

Evasive much? Simple run of the mill question, most instructors publicly provide credentials and/or certificates.

I am not suprised at your reply, I just wondered what excuse you would come up with not to provide me with any evidence, It was a perfectly reasonable request, one that you should expect.
Many instructors supply credentials on their website, and most of the time certificates backing that up, you not doing so (even when contacted directly about the matter), leads people such as myself to question what you appear to be offering.

However if you no longer wish to talk to me, maybe you could present your case for not doing so on the below site.

Our emails are also on there to better help people understand the progress of this query.

Where your public claims on your website are being questioned.

Something which I hope you'll agree is very warranted in today's Martial Art Community that is full of frauds and people looking to benefit from the public lack of understanding of Martial Arts in the UK.

You'll also see on that site some concerns related to your organisations validity/safety in teaching unarmed knife and gun disarms in your syllabus, something that is considered at the least irresponsible by many, and unrealistic by more.

I can see where the guy's coming from. He might well be legit. Maybe you could just be upfront about who you are, and why you're asking, e.g. provide your name and explain a bit about Bullshido.
If he is legit, there's not much more you can do. The 'too deadly to spar' argument is internecine, both sides will claim victory, and their style will remain untested.
