Looks like a decent card, but the last I heard EliteXC was incorporating a 15 second ground rule. The last thing I want is for MMA to be turned into Sanshou. Lame.

So a catch wrestler and a BJJ player are to fight with a 15 second ground rule?

If I wanted to watch a **** boxing match I'd tune in to Audley Harrison's next fight.

I'm not sure if that rumor is true. If it is, EliteXC won't last long.

"Dave" Loiseau is also fighting, if nobody saw. I still don't get why his contract with the UFC wasn't renewed.

Edit: Anybody see the announcers? Goldberg and A.C. Slater. If it doesn't have that ridiculous 15 second rule it will probably be pretty good.

God I hope that 15 second rule is just a rumor! I was really looking forward to that fight. I am in favor of a standup rule but I think its being misused currently.

I believe the 15 second rule is more like "15 seconds without progress".

I think you're right actually T3hJudoChop, I remember reading that recently.

I'm so excited to see this fight, they have had "countdown" preview type shows on Showtime for the past few days. Exciting.

15 sec rule without progress is right. I was listening to an interview with the owner of the show, Gary Shaw, and he was explaining it. Its not going to be automatic stand up. Its up to the ref, much like pride i assume

the commentators, apparently mauro ranallo recently signed on....i imagine its gonna replace AC slater (what does he know anyway?)

its gonna be an interesting org, considering what the owner is trying to do - unifying all divisions, making super fights at any cost - putting the fighters first, and not the company.
