    Hell yeah! Hell no!
I used to believe that I could kick people way up into the air, above my head, and they would fall half a soccer field away from where I was standing.

I also used to believe that I could, one day, spar against a whole battlefield of soldiers (like, more than one hundred) and come out victorious and not even tired.

I used to watch too many martial arts movie.

You ever think that three 'slow-witted street thugs' would be easy to handle with a small amount of training, even if they had knives or baseball bats? I did, until I started reading about the reality of MAs and fighting...

I didn't really get the chance to have any misconceptions about the Martial Arts. Everytime I would bring one up, or mention one to my Old Man, he'd show me how it was wrong in the way only a real father could!

    BY BEATING IT INTO ME.

"Dad, a Karate Master could beat a Boxer because he kicks, right?"

Come here, boy. And try to kick me.

    "Ok! *kick!*"

The Old Man moved out of the way of the kick and nailed me right in the chest with his fist. I found out what the floor felt like.

I told him about the registering hands rumor too. He stated that he's been in wars. He's ACTUALLY KILLED PEOPLE, yet his hands weren't registered. Certainly puts it into perspective.

Then there's when we talked about Ninjas.

"Boy, the only good Ninjas are turtles. Everyone else are morons or liars. Seriously? A 'once secret art that apparently every Gaijin knows'? Give me a break! I COULD DESTROY THOSE MEN."

I used to believe, even tell my friends, I'm a little guy, so I end the fight fast so it doesn't get to the ground. That sounded so cool...... until a fight ended up on the ground
