Bullshit. I'm provisional license only. The rest of the time I hoof it around by foot.
    What am I?:

I am ignorant, thieving, lying, hypocrital, violent and thoroughly self obssessed. I steal from others to make myself look better, only to make the item or information worse.

I go on and on and ON about how brave and strong and brilliant and wealthy I am, but in the end I'm all mouth and no trousers.

Yes, through persistent lack of work and the cultivation of ignorance, he is a true American.

They don't allow Toby to use his wheelchair in public situations,

there have been too many incidents

when he severely bruised peoples ankles and shins

    during a fit of palsy.

    Hemce, the "provisional" license.

Your obsession with non existent objects and situations would be truly overwhelming if it weren't so boring.

So we arrive at the same impasse. Toby once again backs down from the original agreement, starts throwing words, tries to change the location and the rules, rants about his problems, makes threats and in general gets ridden hard by the fa660ts.

Toby, dude.....seriously, let go of this whole thing if you're going to try to weasel your way out of it and claim you're being discriminated against etc. Focus on more constructive things like getting some actual training, working and contributing to discussions on BS rather than always starting 'woe is me/legal letters/my twin lawyer bro/my crutches' threads.

If it cannot be used directly in a combat scenario, it has no place in your training.

If a would-be teacher spends more than 5% of his time telling you about how ineffective other martial art systems are, then he's probably teaching something more realistic than the systems he decries. I was disillusioned from this by a guy who taught Wing Chun. He started out dissing krotty (it's too stiff, nobody uses it in a real fight bla bla) which is pretty common, but he actually went so far as to say JKD is too solidified a system. After half an hour of this "every style is full of nothing but baggage except for mine" garbage, his class consisted solely of compliant drills and qigong-esque form practice.

It probably could if it was a REALLY hard punch or kick, especially if you got them locked up so it hyperextended. But, that would take a bit of grappling to set up. It's kinda like the myth that you can kill a guy by hitting his nose at the right angle, pushing his bones up into his brain. That could hypothetically work, but you'd have to be using a sledgehammer or something to do it; the bones between the nose and brain are very thick. Similarly, the elbows and knees are both made to take a lot of punishment and while they are more vulnerable than the non-joint parts of the arms/legs, they're still really damn sturdy.

If you had them locked up, and the joint hyperextended, and you hit it as hard as you can. That'll hurt them a lot. If you keep hitting it as hard as you can, it would break. I think. I'm not a doctor, but that makes sense...
