Actually, why am I arguing this, I have two friends who do TKD and their kicks hurt.
I assure you, they were strictly wing chun kicks.

I stole a Canuck, married her, and brought her back to Arizona. I am raising a special breed of American / Canuck hybrid human I hope will have the best traits of both Nationalities.

Actually that rolling on the floor ROFL picture reminds me that in "Secrets of the Samurai" they show some diagrams of ninja techniques. One of them is to get past someone blocking you way, you run at them full tilt and at the last second throw yourself down on the ground and roll (side-on) under their legs, tripping them and moving past, and then keep running.

I tried this several times and thought I was a real douche when all that happened was that people either kicked me or fell onto me (and this was with compliant partners).

it looked a lot like meggaman7's little picture there.
"[Fighting for Points] is doubtless very pretty, and invariably draws applause, but preferences should always be given to blows that do some business, to good straight hits that do something toward finishing the fight.
A man who has carefully trained for brilliant tapping play, will find himself considerably out of it in case he is called upon to do any real work."

Canadians aren't flammable. Too much maple syrup in the blood.
