Browsing through a ninja book in the library as a boy, I believed what it said that you could actually project yourself and detect moves before they touch you, blindfolded.

I practiced that with a friend for hours thinking it's going to make me a good fighter.

I used to believe you could break the zyphoid process to puncture vital organs to win a fight.

Are you sure they're Tae Kwon Do and not Muay Thai kicks?

Actually, why am I arguing this, I have two friends who do TKD and their kicks hurt.
"[Fighting for Points] is doubtless very pretty, and invariably draws applause, but preferences should always be given to blows that do some business, to good straight hits that do something toward finishing the fight.
A man who has carefully trained for brilliant tapping play, will find himself considerably out of it in case he is called upon to do any real work."

I've sparred 2 types of TKD guys. The first type was the standard WTF TKDer which tappy snappy kicky that are laughable, hands at the waist etc.

Then there are people like Maverick who drive through their strikes and they fucking hurt.

And no definately wasn't Mauy Thai.

So what you're saying is that you wanted to take dance classes as a kid ... not that there's anything wrong with that or anything.

I know it's not mating season for you Canadians right now, but someday you'll understand.
