    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    heath herring tomorrow ufc

"It was the Kiss heard around the world that caused Heath Herring to send his opponent packing -- on a stretcher. Now, Herring is fighting in the UFC. UFC Fight Night Live - this Thursday at 8pm on Spike."

    Lol.

This makes me very happy. He's one of the more entertaining pride fighters IMO and a personal favorite. It's gonna be sad not hearing the japanese announcer screw up his name (in awesome fashion mind you) but meh I'll settle for his hammerfist to the face of destruction.

Damn, Dana must have gotten tired of both Silvia and all the people bitching about the UFC's HW lineup.

I predict Herring will win in the first round by lip lock.

It's the shotgun approach. If couture can't do it, herring can. If herring can't, cro cop can, etc.

If none of them can do it, the world will implode.

Lol, no really any of them could beat that clown. At least it will maybe be something worth watching instead of a total snoozefest now.

I dunno, Silvia has tard strength, a sick sprawl, reach for days, and incredible (as in not-credible/I have no idea why it's that good) sub defense.

The best way for someone to take him out is with kicks, so I see Cro Cop doing it before anyone else.

Prolly right. Antoni Hardonk also has some great lowkicks. I would almost rather see Randy vs Heath or Hardonk. I think he has a better chance in those fights.

The tard strength comment conjured a funny image of Tim Sylvia going DUHHRRR in my head, thanks :P

Silvia has several major issues though which I think any fighter of these three's caliber should be able to exploit:

    1) He has exactly two punches. TWO. He can throw a jab and a right straight. I don't think I've EVER seen him do anything more technical than that.

    2) He has a high kick which is semi decent but not used enough.

    3) He's coming off mediocre wins from lackluster opponents. Not exactly going to put him in the right frame of mind to win. Psychologically I'd expect him to try the same-ol-same-ol because it's what's been 'working'.

I'm sure there's more but that's the best I can do in a hurry at work.

So t hey lined up a highly experienced wrestler/boxer (randy's pretty strong too, don't forget), a pretty bmf brawler who's faced the best in the world (and lost, but at least he has the experience), and a person who's legs look like tree trunks and can high kick him into next week. On top of all that they're all highly experienced and former champions/contenders/etc. I'd be extremely surprised if silvia did survive the onslaught.

If Randy can get inside and clinch he should have no problems taking him down. A great sprawl doesn't do much against a great Greco Roman wrestler.
