    Mike Tyson arrested again...

    PROSECUTOR WANTS MIKE TYSON BACK BEHIND BARS:
    Former boxing champ charged Wednesday with drug and driving offenses.

    *Following charges of drug possession and driving under the influence of drugs in Arizona last week, Mike Tyson is in the crosshairs of the Maricopa County prosecutor, who says he wants prison time for the former heavyweight boxing champ.

    "He has run out of second chances, at least in my book," attorney Andrew Thomas said in a news conference.

    Tysonís two felonies for drug possession and two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of drugs stem from his arrest Friday in Scottsdale, where he was pulled over after leaving a nightclub. Bags of cocaine were found in his back pocket and another in a package of cigarettes in his car, according to court records.. If convicted of all four charges, he could be sentenced to between 2 1/4 and 7 1/2 years.

    Tysonís rap sheet is long enough, the prosecutor says, to make him eligible for prison instead of Arizona's drug treatment programs for nonviolent offenders. He was convicted of rape in 1992, and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault charges in Maryland in 1998.

    "I don't take any pleasure out of doing this," Thomas said. "A week ago, my kids and I were watching Rocky Balboa in the movie theater, and we saw Mike Tyson make a cameo appearance in the movie, and now here we are and he's looking at going back to prison."

    On Friday, Tyson was released without bond after a brief court appearance. He is due back in court for a preliminary hearing within the next two weeks.

    That would be premised on thinking that Tyson was at some point in the past a good person. He's always been a thug. He used to mug old ladies before he was "discovered" by Don King for Christ's sake. He's a wife beater and a rapist. At what point did his woes turn into "continue to flush his life down the crapper" from a case of "just rewards" for a scumbag? Am I supposed to feel sorry for him because he was an impoverished petty criminal who made it rich off of his freakish aggression and ability to take and dish out punches, but remained an asshole at heart and thus ulitmately was brought down?

    But why would we want to KEEP him here for that long? Wouldn't it be better to exile him?

    Also I'm trying to imagine a Scottsdale jail. It's kind of like imagining a Beverly Hills Jail... I'll bet their wine bar only serves merlot.
