Yeah it's why he didn't fight that year until he fought Albert Craus. Apparently he was attacked in shibuya by some dude who was running around stabbing people.

From what I understand he took about 8 weeks to heal the cut and couldn't train. As awesome as he is, he's still human and, I'm telling ya, if someone stabbed me, I'd probably try to be more inconspicuous.

Uh that was a random stabbing, evidence does not point towards a targeted stabbing of Genki.

That being said, this is why Genki is such a great grappler.

I remember reading about his getting stabbed in a Grappling magazine. He was always fun to watch. I bet he is going to pop up every so often for a quick paycheck and ego boost. I give it a year before he is on some K1 superfight or something similar.
