    Hell yeah! Hell no!
I have some mild scoliosis and it has been recommended to me that I use an Ab-Wheel (Evil wheel) for my ab excersises, and that when I do situps/crunches to concentrate more on pressing my lower back into the floor than on lifting my body. For me and my particular type of VERY mild scoliosis it has worked very well, I've been able to continue ab work and avoid stressing my lower back.

Second of all, did you guys catch when he called me a deadly martial artist? LOL! I can't fight my way out of a wet paper bag!

And finally, abs are made in the kitchen. Get your diet down(look to the wild for inspiration. It is what is proven that counts. A bear, a walrus, and a sumo wrestler all eat once a day, while the cheetah eats 6-9 times a day. Whatever diet you try, spread out your meals). Try Tabata style HIIT AFTER you heal, and make a sandbag. Then go to these websites and come back with a routine geared towards your goal: Weight loss.

I dunno about that man. I did pretty good job of piling the lard on eating 4-5 times a day.
Alright, sure some of those meals each day involved fried processed meat and potato, beer and melted cheese, but you can't go far wrong by imitating the animal kingdom, right ? *

    * Since I started tasting my own faeces and eating nits from my friends' hairy backs, I've dropped 30 lbs. WIN!!!!

Why didn't you come to me first mofo ?

Anyways, ego aside, I'm still willing to help.

Do 1000 crunches twisting from side to side as fast as possible, and remember to clap at the top of each rep. Every morning. Be sure to force yourself into the splits first by getting a friend to just push until they hear a click. To make sure you're limber. Scoliosis is caused by a lump of gristle sticking out where it shouldn't, and if you just fucking work hard enough you can snap it off and get well.

First you totally botch my mail order bride selection, next you entice me with whisperings of ruining the virtual economy, only to have it crashed by a couple of guys with poopie pants. Now you want to give me a personal training program that is clearly a chiropractor's prescription for health? I won't say I'm not interested . . .

On a serious note.. I've started doing crunches on an inclined bench with a weight under my chin. Never for more than 10 reps. I nearly shat myself on the last set, so I know something good is about to happen. I'll keep you posted.

Situps SUCK. Seriously, they're almost designed to **** up your back. Most people's upper abs are plenty strong anyway. As far as I'm concerned, the best ab exercises are squats, deadlifts and good mornings. The ab wheel and reverse cruches are pretty good if you must do ab-specific training. Also, read this: http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=990092

Now, if you want to see you're abs, well, they're made in the kitchen (as a poster above said).
