And when the ninja wins, many more ninjas will follow, and the whole thing will get pretty retarded.

Lucky us, the retards haven't emerged yet, or we'd all be teh d34d.

Dude, if ninjers killed us, we wouldn't even know we were dead.

True, I suppose we could be dead. Then again, the ninjers could be laughing at us while they have us hooked up to machines, using us as living batteries.
    Silly ninjers.

"Does this make the idea of learning multiple arts to the level of mastery a void idea?"

    To the level of mastery?

Who cares if you "master" anything as long as it works?

All I'm wondering, fundamentally, is whether this [article filled with obvious bullshit like, "you can't combine grappling and striking"] is true?
    That's strike one.

I've believed for a long time that the best approach is to have a specialty, but to be versed in all ranges. That way, you can stay standing or get back to your feet as a striker, and survive long enough for a takedown or clinch as a grappler.

I always find it entertaining to read or listen to people who talk grappling/mixed martial arts when they have no real experience outside of a few clips or fights or a glance or two in a Gracie book at the local book store. What's so bad with exploring outside of your primary style? I suppose they're afraid they'll lose their identities as TKD'ers if they taint their collection of tools with something not taught in their dojang.

Okay, well, I wasn't asking about the mixing grappling and striking, I was asking about the validity of his deal with reaction time. I should have specified.

And strike 2.. okay, I already said I was researching other martial arts!
