I thought the PKA was defunct years ago. No knees, elbows, clinching, throws, or sweeps. No leg kicks. The PKA had to institute rules regulating how many kicks per round were thrown because mid-level boxers came in and starting kicking everyone's ass. If some serious boxers came into the mix, you wouldn't know that TKD even existed in the matches.

I'm not sure about this "PKA" you're talking about, but FCR still exists and seems to be much more popular (competition wise) than muay thai or low kick rules kickboxing in the US.

Der, I never drank Sake till I started competing on a national level with TKD. Mixed influences has never brothered TKD in the past.

What's the big deal? Taegwondo is an olympic sport so its really popular everywhere. In China there are more people doing Taegwondo then wushu.
