    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    The problem with boxing is...

Getting hit. I just got tagged in my left eye.

Fucking ****. This MMA **** is starting to piss me off!

On a more positive note, I'll be sparring standup next mega throwdown. :)

Yeh you get better at that whole not getting hit thing eventually so don't let it discourage you.

Also you get to hit people back so it's not one sided or anything.

The whole story is I was showing a buddy who's Blue in BJJ here at work some of the boxing drills. I told him to fire off a 1/2, which he did. But he went right left instead of left right, so I slipped the first, and got hit with the second. My core is still sore from last night.

But yeah, I can't wait to mix it up. :)

Yeah, but getting hit is great motivation to improve. "Ow ****, every time I do this I get hurt, maybe I should stop doing it."

That actually brings up something I'm struggling with in my mind right now. When I boxed, I always lead with my left and crossed with my right because my right is much stronger. In strait grappling, I am more comfortable with my right foot forward. If I ever get into MMA, I'm thinking of leading with my right as I do in grappling, and was wondering what other people here think.

If this is a thread derail, I apologize, but I figured it is related to the topic here.

learn to strike proficiently with your right lead. Lots of right handed people do it and it seems to work ok for them.

I assume you're not talking about the impossibly strong and deadly _ing _un chain punch.
