Well at least Punisher you seem to have enough common sense to realize reality. My old Kempo school practically sells themselves currently on the "Liddell does Kempo" BS line to unwitting students who ask the "Do you guys do the stuff like in the UFC?" question.

I was once lectured for botching up a prospective (*wink* Punisher) student's enrollment when I interjected into the salespitch to note how Chuck's Kempo training is incredibly divergent from nearly any other Kempo school with his unique fighting style, and that his current training is predominantly focused on kickboxing and wrestling for the Octagon.

You're a prick, but I'll answer you anyway.

My school offers what he wants. My school offers a place were he can train, get in shape, learn some real skill, not have to drive across town, and not have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

My school offers instructors that can about martial arts, and understand not everyone trains for the same reasons. On maybe they do. As Matt Thornton says, when you boil it all down, people train because it makes them happy. What makes people happy however, is subjective and variable.

What my school offers that most do not is choice. Unless you don't want to sweat/have any contact at all or want to be a professional fighter, we can provide training the suits your own personal needs and desires.

My school offers an owner who is realistic about what his school is good at, what it is not, and when to refer someone down the street to a place that is better for them.

My school offers all this and more.

My quesiton is, what do you offer this site? How do you make Bullishido better? You have a lot of posts, tons of rep, and mod powers so you must have done something positive sometime. But I've never seen it.

All my dealings with you have been shitty two lines posts and the occasional negative rep. People like you are why I take breaks for the site for months at a time. The love for martial arts, and Bullshido's mission to bring truth and integrity to them, are what brings me back.

One of these days I need to sit down, go through your 6000+ posts, and see why you deserve that ivory tower of yours.

Punisher I am expecting you to be flamed a few times before I finish this post, but I will try to get my point out anyway.

What I "believe" your school does, based on your past descriptions as well as your recent posts here is teach Kempo, albeit a Chinese/Kung Fu emphasized variant.

Your focus most likely is on exercise/conditioning utilizing various forms of kata to compliment that, despite it "not being the most effective form of physical training" especially for a ring/cage fighter. Your students probably enjoy what they are doing, and the techniques you teach are most likely practical SD type stuff, completing that with light to moderate sparring to keep it all in perspective.

Judging by your honesty with yourself and your school I personally have no issue, especially since that honesty seems to transcend to even how you deal with outsiders (a nearly impossible to find trait). Regardless though, people here will most undoubtedly bash you for your last post, accusing you of dodging the question.
