Bout #6 - HERO'S
Giant Silva def. Akebono via submission at 1:02 of the first round.
That makes me laugh more than it should.
Bout #14 - HERO'S
Yoshihiro Akiyama def. Kazushi Sakuraba via TKO at 5:37 of the first round.
I think it's official. Sak needs to hang up his gloves. The poor guy's spent half his career being the punching bag for heavyweights and light-heavyweights. -

The sad thing is that Saku needs to retire but Genki did.

Sak looked bad - real bad - the Judo guy wasn't even throwing or wrestling with him he was just beating the hell out of him... Once again he took more of a beating then he should have because the ref and crowd wanted him to make a comeback.
Hong-Man continues to impress me - for the 2nd genetic accident they've got in K1 he has continued to improved beyond just being the giant strong guy. Dude can fight and trains hard although Bobby was a poor choice in opponents for him (Bobby is a surprisingly good athlete for being a TV personality). I do NOT want to see him fight someone who knows how to grapple though - even his freakish strength wouldn't save him from that...
Semmy looked bad - worse then in his fight with Hong-Man... Other dude couldn't get around the size advantage and gassed at one point backing away panting and leaning in the corner motioning Semmy to come get him - neither looked like they had trained seriously for this fight. Almost the worst fight of the night with the worst being Bobby's brother who fought an actor.
And as much as people might laugh one of my guilty pleasures is watching Giant Silva - not because he is good but because, unlike Akebono, he actually trains and TRIES - dude puts his heart into it - hell he broke down crying in disbelief at this win. He's a 7 foot tall 400lb genetic accident who is completely uncoordinated but he trains and tries to improve - something Akebono hasn't done. -
