    I've trained briefly with a san shou instructor who taught this....(this was while i was heavily into MT)

    actually, he'd throw that downward kick to the front lower thigh of my lead leg a lot, just as i would begin to plant and throw my round house. that **** hurts after taking a few of them, cuz he would really dig it in there

    ahh, just googled him, and found his info

    here's the instructional book he made while here in Toronto with my older brother....(my brother trained with him exclusively, while i tagged along from time to time)....but i was kickin his ass back then in sparring anyway, but that kick would always find its way into the sparring sessions and annoy the **** outta me....so i had to eventually adapt it to my game

    Nice guy, good with basics of self defense with some decent psychological tricks that he picked up from his military days i tihnk. But really, i never put too much stock into learning under him...(save for a couple sneaky attacks that i still play with here and there in training)
