North County Fight Club
From the outside it may look like a McDojo with it's "Kroty" banner, but inside this school is a cage where champions come to train.
The fight team consists of: Dan Henderson, Jason Lambert, Matt Stansell, Eddie Sanchez, Jeff Clark, Manny Rodriguez, Gene Gilsdorf and Charlie Kohler. The fighters have fought in Pride, UFC, KOTC, WEC, TFA, FFA and Total Combat.
On tuesday and thursday night from 7pm to 8pm There is a Kickboxing class taught by Butch whose extensive Muay Thai training comes from Master Toddy. From 8pm to 9pm there is no-gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu taught by NCFC owners Jeff Clark and Matt Stansell, both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts under Roy Harris. Although there is no gi to wear it on Jeff Clark awards BJJ Blue and Purple belts to the his students and fighters. Higher level Brown and Black belt testing is done by 3rd degree black belt Master Roy Harris.
Monday through Thursday at 1PM onwards is an informal submission wrestling session. You can find a good mix of skill levels here. There is a strict "Open Mat" policy... any newcomers are welcome to come have a free lesson and roll with us.
There is "grappling camp" where the "NCFC Kids" can get alive training. There is also traditional Shorin Ryu Karate under the name IKO Karate that help to pay the bills, and is relatively alive and well rounded compared to other tradional arts I have experienced.
At NCFC you will find No-BS, no ego, just a great group of hard working people, united to seek excellence in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. This isnt just a martial arts school, or a MMA fight team, it's a family.
Here is a video of the Bullshido Throwdown from June of 2006 that took place in the facility:

Vid ain't working or is it just me?.
To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence;
Supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without spilling your Guinness.

NCFC Rules!!! There is such a cool vibe here. On one hand you have families, kids and moms etc.., taking traditional karate and on the other hand you have professional cage fighters training to fight at the elite level. Everybody supports each other everybody gets along. Leave your ego at the door and train!!!! I LOVE IT!!!
