Rampage Vs Marvin Eastman for UFC in Feb.

    http://www.sherdog.com/news/news.asp?n_id=6398

I wish that they had picked a different fighter for his first UFC fight... but I guess if he wins, maybe we can see Chuck vs Rampage 2. Thoughts?

Even in his deminished "I found Jesus" state, Rampage should be able to defeat Eastman easily. This will give UFC fans unfamiliar with Rampage from Pride a chance to hopefully see him looking good and establish him as a credible opponent for Chuck.

Still you can't blame UFC for this match up. Rampage and Eastman were already training to fight each other. This was going to be one of the main events of the next WFA show, another reason why they folded.

Yeah, there's no comparison between Rampage's and Eastman's chin. Rampage by injury to Eastman's fists via head.

ummm didnt they fight way back when in KOTC? I think Rampage came in and was seen as about to get but raped but he realy impressed everybody there. Eastman was unable to finish him and Rampage just couldnt quit. He was so damn tired to. Even at the end of the fight they interviewed him in awe of his ability to go in and bring it to Eastman.

He doesn't wanna fight Chuck right away. He feels that since he beat him already he wants to fight opponents he lost to.

Also, Rampage wanted to fight Eastman. He wants to be the token black guy of MMA.

That was a most excellent fight. I was sad to not see Eastman go far after that, but Rampage was born, so a lot of good came from it.

Thats what I thought too. Rampage was born out of his loss to Eastman. That fight put his name out there and showed his potential.
