    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    What is ShootBox?

No I dont mean "ChuteBox" from Brazil. Tofu posted up a video of him here http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=49231
(Watch it he has good hands)

Anyways Ive been sparring baxing with takedowns using boxing glove with some of my training partners. I didnt realize anyone actualy competed like this though outside of a training session. So what are the usualy rules? I like the idea of wearing boxing gloves and shin gaurds but still going to the ground and allowing clinching. How to most competitions work?

BTW I went to wiki and googled this and got nothing. All google gave me was a link to Frank Shamrock.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's Frank Shamrock's MMA promotion, with a few twists on the format.

Its more common here in Japan. It is a mixed MMA ruleset with no newaza. Its not quite every range and they have to wear full boxing gloves. There are throws and the standard kickboxing fair.

Its more common among smaller gyms that I have found. Most of the larger schools are involved with Shooto/Pancrase or other NHB venues that I know of.

So does that mean no submissions? Thats what newaza would be right?

So its throws and kickboxing with boxing gloves. Does this make it just like SanShou?

The Shamrock promotion bore that name because of the shape of the arena was a square with a small raised padded wall on the border. I think it used unified MMA rules.
