I've met one of his students, who couldn't find a school in the bay area that had the level of contact he was looking for. And I watched his class down in LA. Lots of contact and boxing style punches. Not much discipline, and kind of wild, but very tough. Cho was very seriously into boxing and fitness, and had a super hot wife, at least back then. He also fought in kickboxing matches in the US and boxing in Korea. He ( no pun intended) wanted to stick with the boxing, but it was very hard to travel and fight in Korea at the time. At the same time, if you wnat to do point stuff, he was cool with that. Full contact is not for everybody. Not when you go up against qualified people, that is, not some stiffs.

I personally think Cho is one of the saving graces of TKD. Anybody who would talk about him I invite to visit him in Arizona and say it to his face.

I'm guessing lawsuits and parents wanting their kids not getting damaged.

That lawsuit thing (we can't do full contact, we'd get sued!) is the lamest excuse I've ever heard. Guess what? Here in the US we have boxing gyms, mma schools and kickboxing a-plenty. So, tell me again why MA schools can't spar with full contact?

I told you this...like months ago...

He started grappling curriculum with the Gracies long before UFC reared its head.

Yup. Started with Bongsu Han and then went to the Machados.

For a man of his age he's in phenominal shape.

His 60+ body is in better shape than my 27 y.o one.
