Mesa, AZ - Kajukenbo
Have been training here for almost a year, I come from a Judo background. The dojo is farily new, but it is definitely improving as time passes. I love the grappling days, but there is not enough standing 'takedown' variety, and I need my hip throws!
Classes usually involve 15 minutes of conditioning, then demonstration of technique and solo and partner drills.
Our sister dojo has an older base of experienced students, so they have some boxing sparing classes and point sparring as well.
The testing and practice involves learning katas, horse stance, etc. which is the downside of this dojo for me.

There is always a downside to every school. You are in the Phoenix metro area so you should have many options unless you are dead set on that style in particular.
