When I think in terms of pure skill, I enjoy BJJ quite a bit. I don't think of it as a useful tool for a fight, but as an entertaining competition I want to win. I still think of myself as a muay thai guy, even though I don't currently train in it, and if I were an MMA fighter I would probably spend more time on my feet. However, BJJ can be very fun if you let go of all that propaganda pertaining to how useful it is in a fight, which couldn't be truer...it just kills the joy for me to think of it that way.

There is no problem. He didn't say BJJ sucked or wasn't effective or anything like that. It's just not his cup of tea.

Personally I think BJJ is completely useless except against other BJJ guys. Why would I ever pull guard when I can just stand up? Submissions take too long. At least in standup I can KO my opponents quickly and if that doesn't work I can just punch em in the throat rofl. BJJ can't even defeat multiple attackers lol!1

    A. Ignorant people who think Koreans have an indigenous art exactly like the Japanese art of Judo.

    B. Korean Judo practitioners who wish to distance themselves from being a practitioner of a "japanese" art; for reasons of racial and nationalistic pride.

    C. Korean businessmen.

Exactly what don't you like about BJJ though. the more I do it and the better i get (which is not much) the more I like it.

yes it seems to become more sport - like combat chess, but It's a lot of fun.

Getting a good through is satisfying getting a submission (once every blue moon) feels awesome
