Oh WOW! What great qualification of an argument, ******. Here how about you address the fact that I've made it work in a kickboxing setting and given the recent grappling training I've received, I BET YOU that I could make it work in an MMA setting.

Cracky, did one of your parents get raped or mauled by a TKDer in your formative years?

Anyway, IMO Tae Kwon Do is a horrible choice for standup MMA. You can, however, borrow moves from it in rare cases. GSP's back kick, f'rinstance. Yes I know you can count the people who use even a few TKD moves successfully in MMA on one hand. Eat a cock.

It depends how you look at it, I'm not a hater or a lover to be honest.

Also, by using the term "general" you imply some sort of regularity/genericness, it would be the generalisation that such techniques tend not to work due to how rare such things occur, just thought I'd be pedantic.

Furthermore although the "not expecting it" argument amy in some sense be valid, bear in mind that only TMA schools teach in the "they do this..then you do THIS to counter" mindset, Sure Boxers and other fighters drill ALOT but we also have great reflexes and whatnot as developed by sparring, drilling etc.

Especially when one considers the footwork that MMA etc tends to afford, I'd say it further decreases the likely hood of a sucessful attack. I've fought many TKD'ers by the way, and never been victem to such techniques.

That is not to say such things CAN'T work in rare circumstances, I'd wager the setup has alot to do with it though.
