I would like to use this opportunity to get the really important questions regarding capoiera answered. Mainly, is it true that the classes are always full of hot, athletic women?

Not a great statement to make on these hallowed boards - you are lucky you are in newbietown or this would involve you getting a new one torn for you. When the hell are you going to have razors in your toes when you are out and about in daily life? Never, so it is a pretty asinine comment that I suspect you have not thought through. Try and think alittle more before reacting to posts - you will last longer

Yes it is, I used to take one mainly for that fact. I just want to see any proof that its useful on the street, because I've done combat sports (MT, boxing, wrestling) along with Capoiera and I don't even remotely see how it can even be considered half useful in a fight, whether it be the ring or the street. I just can't see it, so enlighten me. For example even with something like TKD, I could imagine someone getting spinning back hook kicked in the face even though its ineffective and probably won't work.

If I had a razor I would not bother doing any sort of Copoeira kick.

Jungle Boogie, get up for the get down. Jungle Boogie, boogie boogie! Welcome to bullshido too!

On a side note, my brother tried some Cap stuff once. He broke a board with the one armed hand stand and kick down kick. Whatever you'd call that **** that skateboarders do now. I thought it was funny, cause he never did try to pull that **** when fighting. He knew his ass would be handed to him. LOL...Razors.

I did a little student-run Capoeira last year. It was my first experience with any MA and I still knew how ineffective it would be. Though I was getting into the UFC at that point.

Edit: Not gonna lie, was really fun.

    Exactly.

While it was fun, it doesn't hold a candle to BJJ for me (not even talking effectiveness, just 'funicity')
