Style: judo, parenting--
For what it's worth, I know someone in Montreal who went to Taiwan to train in Silat mubai. He is not Muslim, seems like a normal enough guy, background in Kajukenbo and such. I need to have a private conversation with him about the art, every time it gets discussed in public, the conversation gets mired in politics and religion.

I hate to bring this thread back to life but.......
Well from what i know of the founder, he is a Sufi Shia.
Basically, their like the islamic equivalent of a buddhist, their theology tends to be very different from most sunni/shia. They believe that all religions are legit as long as they believe in some supreme being.
Ill put it like this though: The chances of a Sufi blowing himself up for god is about as likely as an athiest blowing himself up for the palistinian cause. -
