And no, I did not mean that official statement, though there are some funny/interesting points in it too, especially the ones about martyrdom and such...
I've read and heard many statements about Islam being peaceful. Until I read the Quran (in translation, I admit) I could chose whether I believed those statements or not.
Afterwards, I just knew they aren't true.

I thought some of the Silat stuff was decent edged weapons training. I'm not as sure their non-weapon stuff is as relevant.

Hey Askari (and whoever else feels like fielding this question),

If in the middle of say the first round of an MMA fight I hit you with a knee from my strong side and follow up with a well timed hook to slip elbow combination, do you care that my Thai coach is a Separatist?

Greetings, TKD, I for one would actually care for that. Not because of your technique being effective or not, but out of fear of how many mindless murderers might have gotten equally superb fighting training and might now be running around anywhere with the intention to use it on innocent people with the intention to kill.
