I've done a seminar with Rob Kaman before and have seen some of the tapes. Not only is this guy arguably the greatest kickboxer of all time, but also a great coach. Proof is fighters from Mejiro Gym in Holland and Brandon "The Truth" Vera.

It's pretty old and Rob doesn't do much talking, if at all. If I remember it's a voice over or something. He just demonstrates some techniques and then the editor slows it down and replays it.
There's not much explaination of the finer points to look out for. I didn't find it very helpful, but for 10 bucks.....
Maybe that's why they have to sell it at $10 to clear out the old stock. -

thats what i meant by nothing flashy. maybe its just me but i feel the more talking that goes on in an instructional the worse it is. im a visual person, i learn by watching not by someone telling me about a technique.

I believe the exact opposite actually, I think the devil is in the details. It's the commentaries that make the difference between a great instructional and a crappy one.
To give you an example of what I mean, in some MT instructionals, like the ones from Fairtex (Alex Gong), he tells you little details to watch out for. Like always stepping out 45 degrees when you kick so you're not in the direct line for a cross. And leading with your shoulder when you kick. And chopping down when you do leg kicks instead of kicking in. Little tips like that which will really improve your sparring game.
In Kaman's tapes, I often see him punching with the thumb down. He doesn't explain why he does this, you have to figure out that he does this so that your shoulders roll up to protect your head. All you see is him demonstrating his techniques, you'll have to be pretty sharp or be experienced or very tenacious (to go rewind the tape again and again) to be able to pick up little things he does.
That's my review of it anyway. But for $10, what the hell. -

i have a coach to tell me those things. if you need a dvd to tell you to step out when you kick you shouldnt be spending money on dvds you should be finding a coach. im more interested in watching things like their foot movement and hand positions etc than how to use a technique in a certain situation
