I wear these
They don't look quite so foolish as old fasioned wrestling ones, they're a lot less likely to hurt your training partners, and they come in an assortment of groovy colours. The only downsides are slight residual looking like a tool, it's hard to hear through them and I've once or twice been choked with the strap.

That is why I DREAD wearing mine; and you have to strap them down tight to avoid them moving around too much while your rolling...if someone could design one that avoids the "chin strap choke out" I would wear them religiously.

Why do some high school wrestlers end up with cauliflower ear? Is it from training without the ear guards on or is it from the ear guards moving around on their head too much?
