Lightning Ju-Jitsu??? WTF

Lightning Ju-Jitsu, this looks like something you would order from a comic book. Anyone ever read this manual?

I find the historical stuff interesting.

The whole evolution of JJ etc over the last 100 years or so makes for some interesting reading.

Ok, I have read it, it is fairly generic jiu jitsu from the '40's(although Askari's picture shows the later(1950's) reprint. Pops up regularly on eBay. I will assume your question is"Is this book worth what Matt Furey and his lacky are charging for a reprint?" The answer is no. Oddly enough the Atomic jiu jitsu that Furey and co. used to offer was in itself a reprint of a 1918 book called Practical Self Defense by William Jacomb.

Been debating on whether or not to tell you about a set

Truth is, I've wanted to keep my study of these materials secret

of Catch Wrestling (Grappling, 2003), I am making a major
concension when I say that these manuals are incredible. But as
you know, Matt Fure-cat Furey is the definitive straight-shooter and
that ain't a gonna change.

The wrestling vs. Ju-Jitsu feud is a long and never-ending
one. Even Farmer Burns, whom I've introduced to you
before, was part of the feud as far back as 1914.

So, in saying these materials are 'must have' - I risk
not only my reputation - but the 'Farmer's' as well.

And I'm willing to do so because these training programs
from pre-WWI and WWII are the REAL DEAL. They'll give
you techniques that work to instantly stop any thug in his
tracks.

No sissy stuff. All blood n guts.

That was a good read (even though I only read the first part and not all of it). It was enough to make me LoL on myself.
