Repulsive Monkey, I believe WestSide makes use of swiss ball presses as a RECOVERY excercise, not for dynamic or max effort lifting.

I didn't say to do it at any other time. Actually, I didn't specifically say when to do it at all. What I did say was that you need to know the difference between these things to understand when using this approach will be useful.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to correct you because you, just wanted it pointed out, that's all. I don't even do this crap so I don't know why I care, its just what I read.

I think it was on deepsquatter's web site in the articles.

Actually as MA guys we probably have enough instability right? I mean power lifters ay not but when we grapple or kickbox or even do silly stupid cluster **** kata, we are unbalanced and such, it may be a waste for a serious MA'st.

i'd tend to say that we're the ones who need the balance and minor muscles more than anybody else.

Trust me: we have plenty of challenges to stability that come from working on solid ground.

    Articles like these: http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle....6-173-training

Make me think unbalanced training blows.

Variety is the key. Training on a ball is a decent idea as long as it's incorporated into a larger cycle of lifting styles.
