You did that technique (knee to the face) that some grapplers say never works (news to Sakaraba). If he didn't want to be knee'd in the face, he shouldn't have been in that position.
Way too many instructors think they look good beating up or dominating their students. It's chickenshit, and the students learn absolutely nothing from it. -

Of course it wouldn't make sense for the instructor to talk to you about being too rough from the very first reported instance. Personally, I dont think anyone has room to bitch when they get hurt learning how to fight. Its like bitching you hit your tumb with a hammer while learning how to build houses.
