Female Martial Artists Make Me Sad...

A short while back I was invited to join the Myspace group "Female Martial Artists". Much to my dismay (though sadly, not to my surprise) "female Martial Artists" = girls that do TKD (and sometimes karate).

There have been many painful moments in this group, such as:

(From the "Have you ever had tooth knocked out" thread)
"haven't been kicked in the mouth, but i got kicked in the nose once by my friend."

(Someone's "You know you're a martial artist when..." list)

"you know you're a martial artist when...

    1. You bow at the doors of Wal*Mart
    2. When your teacher says "test", you assume a fighting stance.
    3. You frequently use the line "Only a fleshwound" in sparring.
    4. You cannot smell sweat anymore.
    5. You call a bruise "pretty."
    6. You stay up until 3 am watching cheesy kung fu films.
    7. You go straight to the sword shop when you go to the mall.
    8. You know who Superfoot Wallace, Jonny Su, and Mike Chat are.
    9. You still watch the Power Rangers.
    10. You only wear shoes when the weather is bad, but sandals the rest of the year!"

And plenty of other such like nonsense.

The Group Images for this group are a Pics of Disaster Goldmine, with such gems as

nice young couple wears their black belts with pride... to their highschool prom

and the family black belt reunion

    ...in closing, I hate women.

Blackbelts to the prom reminds me of that BJJ Teen Diary satire thread in the other forum where the kid goes everywhere in his BJJ gi. I guess people actually do do that crap.

If/when I get a black belt in BJJ, I will probably wear it around all the time. Including when I'm naked.

Seems they might be running out of steam, but the first show was great.

But then you wouldn't really be naked, now would you?
