    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Do people know when they're full of crap?

And do they not think anybody else sees it right away? Ran into some kid at the gym tonight who said he mixed taekwondo and muay thai and was giving people pointers, and said that he trained police and special forces. The way he was talking you'd think that jesus was his bitch or something.

there was a guy who i knew that did that before. he was a compulsive liar that told us that he fought in the UFC. he then told us that he fought in the UFC preliminaries, and that his record can't be found becuase he is old school MMA. he walked around calling himself the "hitman" and he even tried to form the "hitman" fight team. fuckin loser. I grappled him after only training for 8 months and I armbared the **** outta him (he outweighed me by 70+ lbs) and this was a time where I couldn't pull of an armbar for the life of me.

They have to know at first. The problem comes in when they lie for so long they start believing thier own bullshit.

Trained police and special forces is like the official red flag for BS.

It's very easy to BS yourself if you get your facts wrong and/or don't have sufficient information, and have never been confronted with unavoidable truth.

The best bit was when I was kneeing the bag, (he's standing about 1 foot behind me the entire time, I'd have loved to accidentally hit him) and he says "The problem with Muay Thai, the clinch, is that if you fight a guy who does jiu-jitsu, he'll tap you out!" Looking past this gross, gross oversimplification reflecting a complete lack of knowledge except for what he saw someone post on some MA forum, I just said "Good thing I do jiujitsu" and shrugged.
