EMS Self-Defense

Has anyone here heard of "DT4EMS" (http://dt4ems.net/)? It's a defense system for EMS personnel - from glancing through it, it appeared that some things were okay, and some were... not. Anyone have an opinion on this site/material?

I dunno, I think the conflict resolution/recognition/whatever stuff would be handy. The "UMS 1 Choke Escape" clip looked fairly straightforward to me, but some of the other stuff seems iffy.

overly complicated hand motions in 3 ov the videos. If you are an ems person engaged in a fight with some crackhead, they are not going to do chambered karate punches. The average ems guy is just going to get hit trying to to this

EMS uses the Deadly Dogpile technique most of the time, which was taught to us by police. Very little actual one-on-one "fighting." I can't view the link at work because it's forbidden because of weapons, but I'll check it out tonight at home.

An EMS friend of mine has used the kick-in-nuts-then-jump-on-top technique. I'm surprised there is no mention of syringes for self-defence :-\

why the **** would an ems have the defend themselves?
