Roger Gracie vs Don Frye 4/11

Current World BJJ and ADCC Champion Roger Gracie is set to follow the family tradition and make the transition into Mixed Martial Arts competition.

The Brazilian makes his anticipated MMA debut against UFC and PRIDE veteran Don Frye in a superfight which headlines MFC’s Russia vs. USA PPV on November 4th.
This fight takes place on saturday. I'm going to be asking round gracie barra to see if anyone knows a method of seeing it and/or wants to get together and watch it.

So what are the predictions for the fight? Anyone have any knowledge on Roger's striking abilities?

This Sat? I'm going to predict this will be a boring clinch fest with Frye controlling the pace. I actually haven't heard of this, probably because no one really cares and especially with all the better fights in Nov coming up.

Wow that could actually be an interesting matchup. Mostly because noone has any idea how Roger would do in mma.

Well, a lot of people see Roger as the last great hope for the Gracies. He's also, as stated above, the world ADCC and BJJ champ. That at least makes for the potential of some exciting grappling. Roger is also essentially the grand-daddy of my school so I'll be rooting for him.

Although he is the ADCC champion in both open weight and his weight class he is not the world BJJ champion, Xande is.

Its fine, gotta rep your academy. Also I think he (Roger) was world champion just last year. I think this year was the first time Xande beat him (in gi) for the absolute.

Didn't Jacare beat him last year on an iffy take down call?
I am pretty sure Roger has been a mundial champ a few times though.
