I probably won't make this one ($). Hopefully I'll be back in the spring.
Grappler's Quest West is a lot of fun but is a huge mess too. I don't know if this one is going to be at the same highschool it always has been at, but if so be prepared for a lot of people and potentially long waits and confusion about where any of your matches will take place and when. The nice part is there is no win one match and win the bracket (the last one I was at, I was in a bracket with around 24 people and didn't luck out and get one of the byes, other brackets had 36+ people).
As for gi versus no-gi, you already covered the major difference (speed) and others are a lot more knowledgeable than I. -
i keep tryin to spar, but nothin happens!
