Greetings.
Uhh..when is a guy pinning you without putting pressure on your chest? Or do you mean you have problems if you get stretched out by a guy who has taken your back?
Really the answer is ask your instructor and train more, since that's the answer to pretty much every topic that is headed for gitmo. -
i keep tryin to spar, but nothin happens!

I'm there a lot, so practice isn't a problem... the biggest problem comes about once my arms are worn out. I can't lift my opponent up, so I can't create space, so I end up skooshed. Yes, my arms are weak.

I forgot gitmo's been revamped as the more general grappling forum. Move at will. -
BJJ might make you a better ground fighter, but Judo will make you a better dancer.

70lbs difference? Christ, you're screwed...
My best advice is to try not to get caught flat, don't give them time to settle into the pin. You should be thinking of escape the instant you see it coming, not after it's on, because you'll have a real hard time moving someone who outweighs you by that much.
Someone more experienced can probably give you better advice now you've narrowed it down a little.Last edited by Lu Tze; 10/20/2006 8:31pm at .

I'm screwed all around in my class. Everyone is either significantly heavier than me or taller than me, and of the two guys that are my height one's a brown and the other a black.
If I can excel in this class, I will rule the world. lol
But yeah, you bring up a good point. I keep getting caught flat. Mostly because I get manhandled rather easily right now. -
