I have seen documents (he often carries a portfolio with him for people at seminars to browse through) made a few notes. In the portfolio he has newspaper clippings of Artist of the year.. Everything else I know from speaking with folks personally and plaques on the wall. You are headed into proving the bonafides

Right, I think most people will need something concrete identifying your identity and then tying you to him before taking what you said as fact. Not that I'm saying your story is false, but, for the time being, its authenticity is ambiguous.
