What do you actually want the paper to BE about? MMA + Consumerism isn't the focus of a paper.
There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice.

You will need to define your terms a bit more. For example, you could probably work up and interesting paper on the influence of consumerism on the martial arts in America over the past thirty years or so; the progression from a largely amateur, "fringe" activity back in the 1960s through to the increasing commercialization of the MA, mostly via movie booms (Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, Karate Kid, etc.). That's paralleled by the degree of professionalism (and consumerism) in how MA are taught and presented - community halls and garages in the '60s through storefront and stripmall dojo and into franchises, supersalesmanship tactics applied to the MA, etc. since the '80s.
