LOL
Back when I was competing 'seriously' I became a consistent bleeder. I got the cauterization and all that but it didn't 'take.' The docs said the bones inside the nose were just f-ed up six ways to Sunday and they kept jabbin' through the skin. So, I just dealt with it. I still get random nosebleeds for no apparent reason, and during the occasional open tournament here and there it sometimes gets jammed, but not so often.Optional signature you may use to appear at bottom of your signatures. -

As with everything, I'd say you need to get it checked by a doctor, especially if it bleeds when you're hot, for no reason!
How's your blood pressure?
A friend of mine had the cauterising thing done, and it was ok. He said he could smell burning for weeks afterwards though, but no significant bleeding.Where there is only a choice between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence.

My nose used to bleed all the time. Cauterizing the nose never worked for too long. Coating the inside with Vaseline helped; but it was a pain.
I finally gave up and took the surgery route. My doctor straightened out my septum and repaired some damage that was done when my nose was broken as a toddler. I haven't had a bloody nose since. -

Until my later teen years, my nose used to bleed for up to an hour at a time, as often as once a week. Doctors said it was nothing to be worried about, but of course when your nose is pissing out blood and it doesn't seem to be stopping, it can stress you out a bit, which makes it worse. Anyway, these days it doesn't happen nearly so often, or last nearly so long, but every now and then it'll randomly start up quite heavily, especially if I've had a cold.
I knew it was going to be an issue when I started fighting, but the doctor said that getting it cauterized might not even help, so I didn't do it. I've had two fights, and my nose pissed out blood on both occasions, and I wasn't even taking hard shots. As soon as the fight was over and I'd had a couple of minutes to rest, the bleeding stopped, so I think when you're stressed and your blood's racing through your body, it just pours out. It just sucks cos it makes it look like I'm getting bashed worse than I really am. That said, hopefully next time I'll keep my hands up more and not have to worry about it haha.
I feel your pain man. -
