The first guy definitely looked like a wrestler. I agree that if the match had lasted another minute or two you'd probably have had him--you were close to passing, and he looked completely gassed. I think if you trained gi more, you could have caught him with a collar choke when he was flopping in your guard in the first minute or two, or at least used a choke to set up a sweep.

I rememebr my first BJJ tourny, I avoided it just like you because of all the really good people in my school kicked my ass all the time, and I also figured that I was no good, but I went against someone my age and weight, ended up walkin away with gold.
crappy part is I had it video taped, but the files were corrupted!!
