Haven't you exceeded your newbietown thread quota yet? I think it is high time you ventured out of the sheltered workshop.

In a similar spirit, I think I'll ramp up my pejorative non-racialised use of the word '******', no one's sense of humour deficient enough to complain about that, right?

Yes, it is. Steve did some MMA training and supported the sport in Australia.

I rolled with one of his security guys on the Gold Coast a while ago.

    Gravious,
is there a quota saying I can only post one thread in Newbietown?
BTW, it would have been nice of you to answer my question about Steve Irwin in your avatar... Nevermind, I was just curious.
It is not the only question of mine that went unanswered on this site, at least in the sense I understand answers.
You are old enough to understand my point in this thread, though age has not always got to do with the capability to understand...
A simple "I donīt care if some teenage hothead uses words like fag on shitty techniques, the point is they donīt work" or something like that would do.
And this has nothing to do with humor. Or does it? Yeah, you are right, it is hillarious fun to read "fag gay butt-fucking kiddy slapping" in every other thread. I couldnīt stop laughing and I bet a lot of you either...
Am I ready to venture beyond the safe haven of Newbietown when I start to grasp that what I have to understand is:
thereīs nothing better than BJJ in the whole wide world and that not only Omega, but everyone else /except for me and some other "fag fucks", I guess/ is right, "because he said so."? Is that it? Was I enlightened? Can I move on now?

Sorry, I didn't see your question earlier. I would have answered if I had.

In actual fact I am not a big fan of people throwing gay / ghey/ fag etc around as off hand insults. However, it is not something I am going to get too worked up about, since this is the the internet, and in general arguments like that are pretty hard to win.

With regard to the newbietown quota, I think you should only get a free ride for so long here in be-nice town. I notice that you don't seem to have a problem in getting the flame on, while older posters are prevented from flaming back by the newbietown rules.

BTW, you do know that Omega doesn't do BJJ right? There are other ground arts that can give BJJ a damn good run for the money. It is just that BJJ is a particularly effective art that has had great marketing in the form of the UFC and Pride. Before you dismiss it, I suggest you take up an offer of a free trial lesson at your local BJJ school and see for yourself. Personally I did aikido, karate and judo (which still rocks, btw) before I ended up where I am. When you are training and sparring against resistant opponents it really opens your eyes to what is effective and what isn't. But don't take my word for it, take a free trial today!

I meant to add, if you feel that other arts are more effective than BJJ, please feel free to argue the point. Although, perhaps you might do that in YMAS?

I don't think there is anything remotely anti-homosexual with the vast majority of this site. A few times there is the "ghay" joke that is being thrown to one another (.ie. "you know how I know you are ghay", or "this thread is ghay", or "kicking the wavemaster is "ghay".)

But it's always been in that context, and I'm sure the borg-shido hive mentality would rip a new asshole to any homophobe (or any bigot for that matter) that dared to open its maw around here.

    Btw, you are ghay.

The street argument is retarded. BJJ is so much overkill for the street that its ridiculous. Unless you're the idiot that picks a fight with the high school wrestling team, barring knife or gun play, the opponent shouldn't make it past double leg + ground and pound - Osiris
