Shukokai is an actual style, from what I've read of its parent art is Shito-ryu. There not much descriptions of the actual art thought, and from what I've gathered it seems like all the websites state things like "One hit, one kill.ö and since it doesn't mention anything about breaking of bones or use of PP it seems like it could be a load of BS.

I once met a guy in England who did Shukokai. He had nice hair. That alone leads me to believe it's a legitimate art.
Well, as legitimate as another off-shoot of "traditional" Okinawan karate gets, I suppose.

As a student at John Lynn BBA in Wales, I really enjoy my sessions there and find it to be nothing but professional.
Most McDojos are professionally run... I'm not saying you train at a McDojo, but it is important for you to understand the two are not mutually exclusive.

Also, you know what? The bullying thing... if you can't stand up for yourself on an internet forum... why the hell are you bothering with MA? Just, you know, take up golf and mix with people who are eternally polite (to your face).

This is MA without the bullshit... stand up for yourself and your instructor... tell us why you don't think he's running a Mcdojo, tell us why you think the training you're receiving is valid in the real world. Don't just post and expect the populace here (who have, frankly, collectively seen it, done it, shagged it and buried it where no-one would find out) to gather around and listen to you refuting a claim that a lot of the posters here will never even have seen if you hadn't dug it up.
You could also post a review of your dojo in the appropriate section. That'd be fun.

So, to summarise: Go hard or go home.

    Response:

    1. We don't delete threads or accounts on the advice of our legal staff.

    2. If you'd lurked (read the forums without posting) longer, you would have had a better feel for which areas of the forums are less friendly than others.

We do not enforce politeness or civility because it is this very false sense of civility and "honor" that the fake Martial Artists hide behind to prevent proving their merit in an activity that centers around learning how to hurt other people.

Respect should be earned and never given by default. What you apparently didn't grasp was that many of the members on the forum interpreted your lack of concern for the community's culture and norms as an expression of disrespect for the community itself. And this is by no means uncommon for Internet communities, whether they outright respond explicitly to the percieved disrespect, or use more passive-aggressive ways of responding to it (banning, ignoring you, etc).

For the record, any Martial Arts school that posits itself as a "Black Belt Academy" is likely going to be a McDojo simply for the fact that its name of the school demonstrates a twisted set of priorities as to what is important in the Martial Arts. (Hint: it's not the piece of cloth holding your pajamas together.)

A veneer of politeness does not equal respect. In fact, in many cultures - such as the ones which originate the idea of "Martial Artists showing each other mutual respect" - becoming overly polite is how to show complete and utter contempt for someone.

For myself, if I'm being a fucking idiot, I sure as hell want people to point that out. Walking through life in a state of ignorant bliss is highly overrated. I'm not particularly concerned of any vanity issues arising from misdirected flames causing a few singed eyebrows.

NEVER associate Kimura with some McDojo and its "martial art". When you simply say "Kimura", most people will assume you are talking about Masahiko Kimura, one of the greatest fighters to ever live. The Kimura associated with Shukokai, which is basically another warped form of Karate, is Shihan Shigeru Kimura. And the hip twist in delivering a punch has been around much, much longer than "Shukokai."
