I like the way Trog(?) cant do much besides trying to grab the knee and squirm/roll. Gonna try it on my test rats soon.

I notice there is now a "Show Printable Version" at the bottom of each page of the thread. Excellent! (Especially since the printable page has a normal white background so it won't suck the black ink out of my printer)

Now how about a "sticky" thread with links to all the excellent tutorials?

We're moving them all to new forums specifically for techniques.

Although this wasn't your intent, I think I'm going try the "escape" (drive knee to the ground) on the assumption my fellow students won't have time to read your counter yet.... The escape looks kind of fun to play with, anyway.

just looking at the pics, it seems to require a lot of back flexibility to pull this one off if they resist.

is it tricky camera angles, or do you need to be quite flexible?

I don't see how your back needs to be flexible for any of this, so no, I wouldn't say you need to worry about that.

trying the transition from pic 2 to pic 3. i just had difficulty turning enough to get leverage to do the "pushup" thing. i managed but it was not as easy as i thought it would be

Hmmm, lately in Judo I've been backing back into mount when I get bucked off. I just walk backwards on my hands and try to keep my weight on them with my legs. I'll also go from a leg scissors takedown, kick my one leg over, and then back into side control the same way.

I dig how you back into a triangle from mount after he tries to pass the one on your back.
