Most people dont know Kimura as weel as Helio Gracie.
Didnt they "fight" once in a tourney. I will look it up, because I cant remember who won.

I can't seem to shake the feeling that google fight may have some sort of probles with it but seeing as it's google I guess I can't really argue with it.
Incidentally, I think you'll find that TKD wins again:

Oldman, are you serious?
They fought in a hugely hyped match in Brazil. Kimura broke Gracie's arm. He used a Kimura, which was not called a Kimura at the time.
There's a reason why Brazilians call that lock a "Kimura."
Of course, I have it on good authority that Master Rorion has explained that Helio is still unbeaten because Kimura only won by being younger and larger. Thus there is no contradiction in either the dogma or the catechism and therefore Helio, Rickson and Rorion are still officially infallible.

I am well aware of why the technique is called a "Kimura"
I also believe that if someone is 100 pounds heavier then they have the advantage, especially on the ground.
I found the pic of the fight and Kimura is easly twice as large as Helio.
I never said that BJJ dogma was fallible. BJJ is a very good art, no one can deny that. However, it is kinda silly to say, "Well yeah he beat me, BUT he was a whole lot bigger. He wasnt better, just bigger. So it doesnt count"
A loss is a loss if you chose to take the fight.
Please tell me that this post was sarcasm.....please.....

Kimura was only four years younger than Helio in that match, and they were the same height. He did outweigh him by quite a bit, but nowhere near 100 pounds, it was more like 40.
Ah, who am I kidding. The Gracies can't lose, Helio probably let him win to pay off some ancient debt to Maeda...
