Yup.
The days of sailors saying " I am in shape, round is a shape" are rapidily coming to an end.
Since the Marines and Army are stretched thin, with alot of guys going back for their fourth or fifth tour; there's plenty of sailors volunteering to go to Initial Augmentation jobs in Afghanistan and Iraq. -

I was told that Air Force are only PT'd once a year, and jobs aren't guaranteed there anymore, and they threw out height to weight requirements, and when it all comes down, they'll reinstate them and it'll be stricter than the Marines so they can kick out the most people, it's too packed. The most popular job there is "load master". They load boxes and make less than UPS. That's what I was told by my recruiters, Petty Officer Bradshaw and Petty Officer Guttermuth. But perhaps we should ask Airman Kai on this one.

I can only judge based on what I see here at the Presidio, but at least here, situps count when your elbows touch your knees and pushups are to a 45 degree angle.

But then I listen to them complain about how they have weekly inspections, can't drive POVS here, have a curfew, etc etc etc, and I laugh.
A lot.Last edited by Cassius; 11/02/2006 11:53pm at .
