Staten Island, New York - Fight America Gym

This is a young gym. Run by Darin Joseph, it concentrates on the basics, the basics, and more basics of boxing and kickboxing. Although Darin has not been in business long, he already has some sucess with his group in the local smoker matches. He is also fielding a team for the upcoming Golden Gloves tournament later this year.

Pros
- Excellent variety of equipment for boxing training.
- Individualized instruction in a group atmosphere.
- Good location.

Cons
- Already outgrowing its facilities, membership is restricted due to this problem.
- In a basement.
- Current ring mat does not mimic cushion of actual competition ring.

No, I think the gym's neighborhood is Grasmere if I'm not mistaken. Of course, neighborhood boundaries tend to expand and contract depending on who is the real estate agent. :smile: But 'Great Kills' is relatively far.
