My take on temperature is room is best, because there are alot of functions that require a certain range of pH and that is affected by temperature. I dont really have anything right off the top of my head that say temp affects stomach acid, but it stands to reason.

as far as gatoraid is concerned, it is water with basically some salts and sugar in it. so essentially your just drinking more water with it, which is good.
ARE YOU SURE? It could be addisons! something like 40 out of a million are supposed to have it----you could be oneOrthostatic Hypertension... So thats what that is.... I suffer from this all the time... Like really bad sometimes. I'm curious as to why, its not so bad lately, it might be I was dehydrated before. I drink alot of water these days. hmmm....
serriously though, if its happening all the time that might be something to worry about. -

must be a good workout to carry round 2 gallons of water where ever you go *)
nah I refill it. As far as my club, the guys there are in the same boat with the water drinking. Some guys drink barley tea, too. We have some kyokushin guys that carry the same 2L. i think as far as the athletes are concerned they have to drink water like the rest of us, so you might be disappointed on the 'Japanese secret'. :)
Its funny though, there are guys there that'll put in an hour of hard work and then go out for a smoke.
