Could me mono. That's what really took me down about 6 years ago. Anyways, it's not that uncommon for a flu to hit your muscles. Really. Sometimes it induces muscular pain, sometimes bone pain, which is worse when it's cold (in Spanish we call that as "cold getting into the bones"... or some **** translated like that.)
Just bite the bullet. It will be over in a few days. In the meantime, take ibuf or aspirin, lots of liquid, and rub the affected areas with vick vaporub. Apply heating pads if possible. That type of pain goes off temporarily with the application of heat.
Or maybe it's not flu, and this is what happens when you **** chicken and puppies on a regular basis.
